Erm... back to reality. So, you want to know about me do you? Well, what can I say?...

I've been 'doing' 3D in some form or another for many, many years now - since GFA Raytrace on my old Atari ST, way back in 1988 (I think). I've been using 3D Studio since it's first DOS version (I still have the manuals for it somewhere), moving to MAX when that was released. All of which means I've been using 3D applications seriously since 1991 and professionally from 1996 onwards. If you want to know my full range of software skills see the list below.

Currently I'm a beta tester for finalRender (and a moderator for the finalRender forums). I have in the past been a beta tester for several other 3D related packages, including RadioRay (now defunct). In recent years I've taken to developing MAXScript tools (some of which are available for download here) the largest (in terms of lines of code) of which is the Material Converter which ships with finalRender Stage-1.

I trained as an architect at the Welsh School of Architecture in Cardiff, UK (RIBA Part 2 qualified) but never went into practice due to having too much fun with 3D visualisation. On leaving university I co-founded StudioBlue were I stayed for 6 years. I have since moved on and now work for Nightingale Associates, an architectural practice with 5 offices throughout the UK specialising in healthcare architecture, where I'm a strange hybrid of IT support and 3D visualiser.
